Institute Massage Clinic

The Student Massage Clinic run by the Australian Institute of Fitness has been developed to provide clinical practice for our students at cost-effective prices. Opening times are dictated by our course and curriculum structure.

Please note that we are a contactless payment facility (ie NO CASH).

The Therapist will PERFORM TESTS and a POSTURAL ANALYSIS to assess what may be causing your pain or dysfunction and tailor a treatment plan to suit. The treatment itself may include, but not be limited to, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy.

Please note that your Therapist may require you to remove any loose or restrictive clothing in order to assess posture and dysfunction. We recommend you wear sports shorts and a sports bra (for females) or similar. However, you do not need to do this if you are uncomfortable with it.

Your first session will generally involve extensive testing as required by the program's learning criteria. All follow-up appointments (if with the same Therapist) will involve far less testing once a suitable long-term treatment plan has been outlined by the student.

Please remember this is a STUDENT CLINIC and our student therapists are continually being assessed.

They’ll perform tests to see exactly which muscles are giving you trouble and will tailor a treatment plan to suit. The treatment itself may involve deep tissue, Myofascial release, Trigger point, and other types of massage to treat your pain. Conditions such as sciatica, carpal tunnel, stiff necks, headaches, sports injuries and many more can be eased with a remedial treatment.
